Requirements :
Students must be interviewed in their home country before being accepted on the program. A minimum of two years of English study and good academic results are required. An ESOL, IELTS or TOEFL test is required as evidence of English proficiency in Year 13; for all other years, an English test is held upon arrival.

SCHOOL EXPERIENCE
Auckland: the College welcomes 1650 students, of which 100 are international students. It is recognized nationally for excellent academic achievement and it provides a safe and
caring environment for international students. Students enjoy the full range of academic, sporting and cultural activities available and are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. The College offers sporting and performing arts opportunities as well as modern facilities. The campus has recently had a major refurbishment and new building development. The college is located on the northern edge of the greater Auckland city which has a population approximately 1.75 million. The school is about 45 minutes by bus from the city centre and 10 minutes walk from a stunning beach. The local village is 5 minutes walk away. The school has spacious grounds, with good transport links to Auckland city center.
SCHOOL SYSTEM
The educational system is divided in three levels: primary school (Ages 5 – 11), intermediate school (Ages 11 – 13) and secondary school (Ages 13 – 18). The Colleges offer classes to students from Year 9 to Year 13 (secondary school). In Year 9 and 10, mandatory subjects are English, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, and Physical Education; students choose three to four more from a range of elective subjects. During year 11, they may choose a larger number of subjects but Mathematics, English and Sciences remain mandatory. For the last two years, students have access to a wide range of electives subjects with only English language remaining compulsory in Year 12. An intensive English language programme is available for students who do not have the English subjects. International students may be eligible for Year 13, and they may study in either Year 12 or 13, depending on their experience and English competency. The NCEA, awarded at the end of year 13, is the national certification recognized for University entrance. The school year runs from February to December. Graduation is possible.
