How do I book and when do I pay?
A deposit of €300 / £300 / $300 (€600 for an Academic Year Abroad) confirms the place. The balance is due 30 days before the start date for Kaplan courses and four weeks before arrival for junior camps; bookings made later are paid in full at registration. The application fee is charged on every booking and is not refundable; junior camps booked less than two weeks before arrival pay a late-booking fee.
Do Albanian citizens need a visa?
France, Germany and Switzerland: no visa for stays up to 90 days with an Albanian passport. The United Kingdom, Ireland, the United States and Canada require a visa — the UK visitor visa covers English courses of up to six months, and 6–11 month courses need a short-term study visa. Ireland, the USA and Canada issue invitation or acceptance letters for the application. We prepare the whole file.
What if I cancel a junior camp?
Twenty-two days or more before arrival you get a full refund of the package minus the application fee, insurance, an administration fee (€125 / CHF 170 / £105), any transfers and Premium+ activities. Less than 21 days before, or a no-show, is not refunded. If a visa is refused, the refund is the package minus the administration fee and bank charges, with proof of refusal.
What if I cancel an adult course?
UK and Ireland: more than 90 days before, full refund; 7–90 days before, tuition and accommodation are refunded but the deposit and service fees are kept; under 7 days or no-show, two weeks of tuition and accommodation are charged. The USA refunds tuition and accommodation before the start date (service fees up to $500 kept); Toronto keeps 10–20% of tuition depending on notice; Vancouver refunds everything except the application fee.
What applies to students under 18?
A parent or guardian signs the contract. Medical and travel insurance is compulsory, schools may require their own accommodation, two-way airport transfers, and in Canada a custodianship. Unaccompanied-minor airline service at camps costs £50 / €40–50 / CHF 40 each way.
Are summer prices higher at adult schools?
Yes, slightly. From mid-June to late August adult schools add a summer supplement — for example +£20 a week on tuition and +£30–40 a week on accommodation in the UK, +€40 a week in France, Germany and Switzerland, +$40 a week on accommodation in the USA and Canada. The estimates on this page do not include them.
Public holidays and closures
Lessons that fall on public holidays are not replaced. All schools close from 21 December 2026, reopening on 29 December (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada) or 4 January 2027 (France, Germany, Switzerland).
